Regional Board nominations - closing date 12 September 2008
Did you know that as an RCN member in the East Midlands you can stand for a seat on the regional board? The board helps to guide the RCN’s work in the region and it currently has a number of vacant seats. These are for the following geographic and practice field areas:
- Bassetlaw
- Chesterfield & North Derbyshire
- Mansfield & Newark
- North Lincolnshire
- South Lincolnshire
- Learning disabilities
- Management & leadership
- Mental health
- Primary & public health
- Research, informatics and quality (RIQ)
- Student representative.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t represented the RCN before; a desire to work in the interests of your fellow members and further the nursing profession is the most important thing.
The deadline for receipt of nominations has been extended to 12 noon on Friday 12 September 2008 to ensure as many parts of the East Midlands as possible are represented on the board. The RCN East Midlands region covers the counties of Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
We aim to deliver a high standard of services and support to RCN members throughout the East Midlands. Regional staff and local representatives are here to help nurses in all fields of their work by providing support with difficulties they face in the workplace and assisting them to provide high quality patient care both in the NHS and the independent sector.
