Nursing Standard awards
The Nursing Standard awards celebrate groundbreaking and innovative nursing. The awards are supported by the Nursing Standard, the UK's biggest selling nursing journal and are designed to give public acknowledgement to the outstanding work being carried out by RCN members on a daily basis.
Nominees should have made a real, positive difference to care. The awards are open to qualified nurses, midwives and health visitors registered to practise in the UK, pre-registration student nurses and health care assistants. There are 12 categories, each with a winner and runner-up.
In addition to the prestige associated with the awards, category winners and runners-up receive substantial cash prizes.
Applications and timetable
As well as nominating colleagues, self nominations are accepted. Nominations are sought annually between January and April, and should be submitted via the Nursing Standard Awards website: www.nurseawards.co.uk. For further information, please telephone (020) 8423 1066.
