South of Tyne and Wear branch
Welcome to the web page of South of Tyne and Wear branch. It is one of the five branches of the RCN Northern Region.
If you are an RCN member and you live or work within the geographic area covered by Gateshead, South Tyneside, or Sunderland, you will automatically be a member of South of Tyne and Wear branch.
The next South of Tyne and Wear branch meeting will be held at 2.30pm on 12 June 2013, at the RCN Northern region office in Sunderland. South of Tyne and Wear branch is your voice in the RCN. As well as sending delegates to RCN's annual Congress, the branch has representation on the RCN's regional board. We hold regular meetings where we discuss issues of concern to local members.
At the branch annual general meeting (AGM) in October 2012, the following officers were elected. If you would like to contact any of the officers, please call the regional office on 0345 772 6100 and a member of staff will be happy to put you in touch:

The branch is currently looking for local RCN members to get involved with future events, including campaigns and membership recruitment drives. We also work closely with the RCN Northern Region and can signpost you towards a number of career development and training opportunities.
