Welcome

Welcome to the Lancashire West Branch of the Royal College of Nursing. Our Branch covers a large geographical area.

Our membership involves nurses, Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs), Assistant Practitioners (APs), and students from all areas of nursing.

Currently the priorities of the Branch Executive Committee are to:

  • develop good communication with members
  • influence on wider issues which involve the development of NHS services within our area
  • develop training opportunities and training sessions for our members on a wide range of topics
  • work with our members to develop a Branch which is fit for purpose
  • promote activity in the independent and private sectors

Achieving our priorities will take time, but we want as much input from members as possible.

The branch meets formally four times a year, with the opportunity of smaller workplace meetings taking place as and when members request them.
