Information to help activists in their role

Why not become an activist?

Do you want to make a real difference to your patients, the working lives of your work colleagues, or even help shape the future of nursing?

If so, then why not become an accredited representative for the RCN?  Representatives play a vital role in the RCN and are the key link and first point of contact for both members and managers in the workplace.

As an RCN representative you can get really involved and active in both the work of the College and your workplace a number of important ways, from providing support, guidance and advice to members, to influencing local managers and helping develop local workplace policies.

RCN North West is always keen to recruit new members and activists so why not go along to your branch meeting to let them know you would like to receive training to become an activist. All our training is high quality, sound management and leadership preparation. Experience as an RCN activist is thoroughly recommended if you want to develop yourself as an active learner, advocate for patients and service users, influencer, organiser, campaigner, negotiator, representative or skilled and effective communicator.
