The South East region champions diversity
The principles underpinning diversity and equalities are:
Equalities
- primarily associated with legislation
- minimum standards
- compliance and risk management
- sanctions
- reactive
- mainstreaming.
Diversity
- accepting and articulating difference
- making constructive use of these differences to achieve our organisational goal
- creativity and innovation
- change, risk and performance management
- mainstreaming
- competence and confidence
- proactive.
The South East’s beacon status recognises our commitment and work so far and allows us extra support to develop our approach.
This year the region will be taking an active role at the Pride festival in Reading on 3 September 2011. We will publish more details of what we are doing nearer the time.
