RCN Devon branch
All RCN members are welcome to attend branch meetings. Come and meet the team and influence your local RCN.
Role of branch meetings
The purpose of branch meetings is to support members in practice, education and continuing development. The branch is forward thinking and is always looking for new ideas and ways of working and promoting the branch. We are always looking for new representatives with a passion for nursing and supporting nurses in a variety of areas. With such a wide knowledge base and areas of expertise, there is always good peer support from the branch for all representatives in all areas of work.
Come along to a meeting and find out:
- what the RCN is up to locally and nationally
- how you can get involved in supporting the RCN in representing nurses and nursing, promoting excellence in practice, shaping health policies locally
- what educational seminars you could take part in
- about other members and activists.

Do you want to get more involved?
If you want to get involved with RCN activity across the region, become a staff side representative. It's easy to do and is both personally and professionally rewarding. All the information can be found in Professional development.
As always, please get in touch with your regional office if you have any concerns or want to find out more about what we are doing in your area.
All activists and representatives are required to attend at least one meeting each year. Your annual accreditation is dependant on you being active, so come along to the branch meeting and share your experiences with the branch or email the secretary with your update for the meeting.
All minutes are archived and can be obtained at the branch meeting, or via the branch secretary Abbi Way: abbi.way@nhs.net.
