Phil Noyes

Phil is the Coventry and Warwickshire branch representative on the RCN West Midlands Regional Board, having become a Board member in October 2008.

Phil trained in mental health and learning disability nursing and practised mainly in learning disability work until being elected to his current position as Staff Side Chair at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. He now works full-time in this role.

Originally accredited as an RCN steward in 1997, Phil worked extensively on Agenda for Change within the trust, principally in job evaluation, and currently holds numerous roles within the North Warwickshire RCN branch.

Phil has a strong commitment to supporting the RCN’s aim to widen its membership and attract health care assistant members, having participated in events aimed at this important and influential group. As he says, which other group has such a direct effect on patients' experience of health care services? Phil is also a passionate advocate of involving users and carers in the planning and delivery of health care.

Inside and outside of work, Phil will often be seen wearing one of his range of dazzling shirts, and in his spare time he enjoys reading good science fiction.
