Day of Action: 30 November

Thank you to members and activists who helped to support the TUC's national Day of Action on 30 November. Members, activists and staff attended the four main rallies organised by the TUC in Bradford, Hull, Leeds and Sheffield in addition to several other smaller events and workplace demonstrations around the region.

What next for the pensions campaign?

The Government now has until the end of December to improve the penions offer and make it fairer for RCN members.

If they fail to do this then RCN Council will authorise a ballot for industrial action when they next meet on 10 January 2012.

This will be an unprecedented move for the RCN as we have never held a ballot for industrial action in our entire history. You can help us prepare for this by making sure all your details are correct in MyRCN.
