NHS Evidence - a new service to help you deliver best practice
In the past, you may have spent time trawling a range of different resources looking for the information you need to deliver best practice – such as guidelines, care pathways and drug information.
But at the click of a button, NHS Evidence provides you with free access to more than 150 respected resources including the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), map of Medicine and Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS). NHS staff with an Athens login can also search health care databases and subscription journals that have been purchased for NHS staff in England (for example Embase, Medline).
Organisations achieving high standards in guidance production can be identified on NHS Evidence by a ‘seal of approval’ called an accreditation mark. When you see this, you can have confidence that you are accessing some of the best information available to make informed decisions on patient care.
Simply log on to www.evidence.nhs.uk, and type your term into the ‘Google style’ search bar for access to the information you need.
