Skills for Health and the RCN join forces in Yorkshire & the Humber

Skills for Health and the Royal College of Nursing in the Yorkshire and Humber Region are working closely together and have established good working relationships with regular meetings and updates.

Skills for Health is the sector skills council for the health sector. They help the whole UK health sector develop a skilled, flexible and productive workforce to improve the quality of health and healthcare.

The overarching aim of Skills for Health and RCN Yorkshire & the Humber is to support relevant staff groups within the health sector to gain appropriate levels of skills to deliver high quality health care. To this end, the RCN and Skills for Health have drafted a Sector Skills Agreement, which sets out a number of steps to produce innovative and productive solutions to some of the challenges facing the health sector at this time.
