The South East Board advertised for an enthusiastic member from Guernsey to join the rest of the team. This was an opportunity to use experience, skills and abilities to get involved with RCN matters at a higher, regional level within the national context.
Working with other Board members from across one of the largest RCN regions, the sucessful candidate will advise and support the regional director in developing and delivering operational plans for the region as a whole. Being able to take a wider view is therefore important, as is an understanding of good governance and the willingness to work as a team.
Helping to shape your RCN.
The RCN has over 400,000 members and it exists to represent nurses and nursing, promote excellence in practice and shape health policies.
A vacancy existed for an RCN steward on the RCN Northern Ireland Board. This is an ex-officio role on a vibrant board which provides leadership and support to RCN members through branches, professional forums and networks.
The successful candidate will also sit on the UK Stewards’ Committee. The committee promotes the role and value of RCN stewards, ensures that the role of stewards reflects the needs of RCN members, and contributes to the development of RCN policy.
