Phase one
The first priority of the Legal and Governance Review was to ensure that we comply with charity, company and trade union legislation. Consequently, on 28 October 2009 at the RCN AGM, members agreed to amend the RCN’s Royal Charter in order to make this happen (read the full details and vote result). The process was completed on 1 April 2010, following approval by the Privy Council, when the RCN Foundation was set up with agreement from the Charity Commission and the Scottish Office of the Charity Regulator.
