Candidate statement:

I was the first HCA to both vote and speak at RCN Congress in 2003 to support South Birmingham Branch in their resolution to allow nursery nurses to join the RCN.

During 17 years NHS service, I have held the following Health Practitioner posts:

I work at Weston General Hospital in North Somerset. I am an active Health & Safety Rep and COSHH Assessor. I am an Executive Officer for RCN Somerset Branch.

I was Voting Member for Perioperative Forum at Congress this year.

I support and mentor student nurses, student ODPs, trainee APs and healthcare support workers.

We can launch a massive recruitment campaign for Health Practitioners over the next year.

Together, we can recruit thousands of Heath Practitioner members in all 4 countries.

I want to see more HP members running for election as Stewards, Safety Reps, Learning Reps, Branch Officers and Forum Committee members.

I am supported by a Trainee AP and an ODP for this election.
