RCN Agenda Committee election 2013
The RCN Agenda Committee has the important task of recommending to RCN Council the agenda for Congress week. This is your chance to shape Congress from 2014 and beyond.

The following candidates were elected to the Agenda Committee:

Can I stand?
Four members will be elected by Congress to join the Agenda Committee.
Any member who has been registered as attending Congress on at least two occasions in the previous four years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) is eligible to stand.
Members of the Agenda Committee may not serve concurrently on Council, UK Stewards, Learning Representatives or Safety Representatives Committees, or any forum steering committees.
How do I stand?
Nominations must be submitted before the deadline of 2pm on Tuesday 23 April 2013.
They can be submitted using the online form or alternatively downloading a Word version of the form (28KB) and filling it in – this can be emailed to jane.clarke@rcn.org.uk or Stephanie.wilson@rcn.org.uk before the deadline of 2pm on Tuesday 23 April 2013.
Or it can be printed off and posted to us at the following address (to be received by 12 noon on Friday 19 April 2013):

Or, at Congress, it can be posted in the post box at the Governance Desk in the Galleria at the ACC in Liverpool before the deadline of 2pm on Tuesday 23 April 2013.
At Congress you can use computers in the Internet cafe in the Upper Galleria at Liverpool ACC or call 07825924665 or 07825924675 and the Governance team will be happy to help you find a computer to use.

- Forums
- RCN Students Committee
- RCN Health Practitioner Committee
- UK Stewards Committee
- UK Safety Representatives Committee
- UK Learning Representatives Committee
What is the term of office?
The term of office is two years.
How much time is needed?
The Agenda Committee meets throughout the year, and members need to be able to attend the following:
- July 2013: one-day meeting (to review Congress 2013)
- February 2014 : two-day meeting (to prepare for Congress 2014)
- March 2014 : one-day meeting
- June 2014 : one-day meeting (held on the Saturday before Congress week) and then daily meetings throughout Congress.

Those eligible to vote in the elections are voting members of submitting entities:
- Branches
- Forums
- RCN Health Practitioner Committee
- RCN Students Committee
- UK Stewards Committee
- UK Safety Representatives Committee
- UK Learning Representatives Committee
- RCN Council
- RCN Boards
Voting members in the election must be those registered to vote on the election day, Wednesday 24 April. They should ensure that they are registered to vote on the election day by the time nominations close at 2.00pm on Tuesday 23 April. Exceptions to this rule will be considered on a case by case basis by the Independent Scrutineer in consultation with the Returning Officer.
