UK Stewards Committee elections 2013
The UK Stewards Committee provides stewards with the chance to not only influence the nursing and health care agenda, but act as the voice for other stewards and support RCN members who undertake these roles in their workplace.

No candidates stood from this region.
What is the term of office?
The successful candidate for the Northern Ireland seat will be elected from 18 April 2013 to 31 December 2016.
When are the elections?
7 January 2013 – opening of nominations
8 February 2013 – close of nominations
11-20 February 2013 – verification that candidates are eligible to stand
21-22 February 2013 – publication of candidates details on website
8 March 2013 – dispatch of voting papers (electronically)
12 April 2013, 5pm – close of voting
18 April 2013 – announcement of results
18 April 2013 – new members take up office
Who can vote?
All stewards in the country/region are eligible to vote in this election provided that they are fully paid up members with a workplace address in the country/region at the time of the close of nominations.
How does voting work?
Stewards in the country/region are asked to vote for the people whom they think will best fulfil the role of a member of the UK Stewards Committee.
Voting will be conducted electronically, by email. Members will be encouraged to provide the RCN with a valid email address in advance of the election in order to take part.
