Working for you
Working for you

The RCN in Northern Ireland is committed to working for all members through a variety of services provided both locally and nationally.

To ensure members are aware of, and have access to, the wide range of services on offer, RCN staff and representatives aim to visit on a regular basis the various health care locations where nursing staff work. Not only do we want our existing members to understand what the RCN can do for them, we also aim to promote what the RCN can do for nursing staff in general.

The RCN differs from other trade unions as we also provide professional development opportunities for members,  membership of RCN forums and professional networks, and access to RCN publications and library and information services. Our full range of employment relations support includes representation by a member of nursing staff and up to £3 million indemnity cover.

RCN employment relations and professional development staff attend most of our events. From time to time, we hold separate employment relations and professional development clinics to address specific queries that members may have.

If you require further details in relation to any of these services or events, or if you would like the RCN to visit your workplace, please contact Claire McQuillan via email claire.mcquillan@rcn.org.uk or by telephone on 028 90 384 600.

If you have any membership queries, please do not hesitate to contact RCN Direct on 0345 772 6100, or Claire McQuillan on the telephone number above.
