By car

  • Take the A720 city by-pass to the Lothianburn junction. Head directly for the city centre on the A702 (signposted)
  • After 2.5 miles approx, turn right at the lights at Morningside, passing the pub on your right and continuing forward onto Cluny Gardens. Proceed straight ahead through one set of lights and, after 0.5 miles approx, turn left onto Oswald Road (directly opposite the entrance to Blackford Hill park)
  • Take the second road on the left. The RCN is the first entrance on the right. Off-street parking is provided free of charge.

Public transport

Buses to Morningside Road

Lothian Regional Transport numbers 11, 15, 16, 17 and 23. All but the 23 can be boarded on Princes Street. The 23 can be boarded at the bottom of The Mound.

First Bus also run a number 23 by the same route.

Buses to Kilgraston Road

Lothian Regional Transport only. Number 41 from the Mound or number 24 from Lothian Road.

Buses to Blackford Hill

Lothian Regional Transport only. Number 38 runs between Crewe Toll and Cameron Toll along Cluny Gardens.
