Get involved
Media
Personalising a media story, for example, by speaking to frontline nurses or providing a case study, can make all the difference in getting the media to cover a story – and so get our voice heard.
We need members to help highlight nursing issues in local newspapers, on radio and TV. We also need members to speak to the Scottish national media on a variety of issues including violence and aggression in the workplace, specialist nurses, bullying and harassment and much more.
Media training
Training on how to deal with the media is available for those who would like to get involved in RCN Scotland's media work. The communications team also provides ongoing support to anyone who has been contacted by the media.
Communications
RCN Scotland has a range of communication channels available to get your messages and news out to colleagues, fellow members and to a range of external stakeholders.
The communications team can help you get an article or information about an event published on the RCN Scotland website, in RCN Bulletin or another RCN publication. We can also help you to highlight issues that you feel are important to nurses and nursing.
Contact
For more information or help on any of these ways of getting involved, contact the communications team on 0131 662 6133 or email Steven Black, Communications Officer.
