RCN branch review
The RCN has set up a Branch Review Group, which is part of the current consultation on how members would like to see the RCN develop, the sort of investment and support needed for local leaders, and how to integrate trade union and professional activities at branch level.
The following surveys have already been issued as part of the consultation process:
- an activist survey, which went out with the September Activate and is also available online in the Activist Zone
- a branch mapping survey, which was issued to each branch
- a forum mapping survey, which was issued to forum chairs.
The RCN Branch Review Group is now working on three areas of the branch review and the results of the consultation exercise will feed into this work. The thre areas are:
- role of branches
- representatives
- finance and relationship between boards and branches.
RCN Wales has a Welsh member representative on this group and feedback from the group will be provided through the RCN Welsh Board and branches as work progresses. For further information on the review, email Helen Carlyon: helen.carlyon@rcn.org.uk
