RCN Connect project

Wales is one of the pilot sites for the roll out of the RCN Connect project and the RCN Welsh Board Diversity Group was set up to explore diversity issues in Wales.

The group's aims are to:

  • encourage members form diverse backgrounds to feel welcome and become active within Branches, Forums and RCN (Welsh Board)
  • set up partnerships/compacts with other relevant organisations within Wales to lobby the National Assembly for Wales on Health Policy.The aim of the RCN Connect project is to engage diverse communities in RCN activities.

Diversity and equality issues include:

  • age
  • disability
  • gender
  • faith
  • language
  • race and ethnicity
  • sexual orientation
  • work injured nurses.
