Use your voice - get active
The RCN Wales is contacted regularly by journalists who need nurses to comment on issues affecting the nursing profession. The Communications department asks nurses to participate in media interviews and to speak from their personal experiences. This can be on subjects as diverse as pay, education, staff shortages and standards of care.
To help provide this service to journalists, the Communications office has a database of case studies; however, it is always looking for volunteers to become nurse spokespeople. This means we may call on you occasionally to take part in interviews with local, regional or national media. The project is designed to increase representation from the nursing community and to reflect the diverse culture of Wales.
Media training
