Nursing Student Award

Becoming a Registered Nurse is the culmination of years of study, hard work and dedication as a Student Nurse. Student nurses must attain both clinical and academic competence in order to secure their registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council. Nursing Students in Wales are educated at degree level in a chosen speciality. All new registrants should be proud of completing their nursing degree and becoming a Registered Nurse. Some nurses deserve recognition for exceptional achievement during their years of study. For instance, some Student Nurses have shown exceptional academic or clinical ability, or have been seen to be particularly compassionate and caring during their clinical placements, signalling a particularly promising career ahead of them. Others succeed in their studies and so gain their registration despite significant obstacles in their lives.

About the award: This award aims to recognise Nursing Students with an exceptional track record during their professional education.
