The RCN has been excellent for my career. I began here 22 years ago as a ‘post boy’ and after a variety of roles I now work as an RCN assistant officer. I’ve had several good managers who appreciated my skills and assisted me in changing career direction several times. Within my current role I come into contact with a diverse cross-section of the RCN’s membership and the general nursing population of London. The most rewarding aspect comes from the satisfaction of being able to advise, support and represent members during some of the most challenging times in their careers.
