Well, who am I to argue with the august panel of judges at the BMA? In short, I couldn't even if I wanted to be contrary, the site is excellent. A clear and comprehensive design, with minimal graphics means the site downloads quickly; and the clear subject headings - types of cancer, treatment and options, clinical trials, genetics, coping, support and so on, makes searching for information easy. That the site is regularly updated by a reputable institutional body ensures that you get the most recent and accurate cancer information (allowing for the obvious US bias).

The search for each section asks if you want patient or health professional information - the difference being the language used (tendency to include professional jargon and so on, as well as access the scientific and academic papers). What is particularly good is the fact that you do not have to register as a HCP - the access to the information is open and transparent.

A visit to this site should confirm it as a bookmark favourite and invaluable resource for you, your staff and patients.
