Purpose
- To promote the practice of community children's nursing in order that an appropriately trained and experienced nurse is available for all children who require nursing care and support outside of hospital settings.
- To establish and maintain a forum within which community children's nurses are able to network with each other.
- To provide a source of community children's nursing expertise both within and outside of the Royal College of Nursing.
Objectives 2009-10 and 2010-11
- Contribute/lead critical conversations focused upon workload capacity, skill/grade mix and establishment of robust evidence base for recommended nurse:patient or nurse:population ratios in community children's nursing.
- Possible sponsorship/support of member-lead research in this area.
