Paediatric Advanced Nursing Practice Community

This Community supports nurses engaged in or interested in advanced nursing practice in the care of children and young people.

The first meeting of the then-called Paediatric Advanced Nursing Group (PANG) took place in the autumn of 1998 at Alder Hey Hospital. The creation of a special interest group of advanced paediatric nurses (or anyone interest in advanced practice paediatrics) was an attempt to mobilise and co-ordinate the paediatric advanced and specialist practice expertise that was rapidly gaining momentum around the UK. Members include children's nurses, specialist nurses, nurse practitioners and educators from a wide variety of settings throughout the country.
