Bernie Carter
Bernie Carter is Professor of Children’s Nursing at the University of Central Lancashire and Director of the Children’s Nursing Research Unit at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is particularly interested in children’s pain, care provision for children with complex health care needs and the role that children’s nurses play in the lives of children, young people and their families. Bernie is a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing. Coordinator of the RCN Pain in Children and Young People Community.
