• Establish a focus for sharing knowledge and best practice
• Provide an integrated career and competency framework for members
• Utilise evidence and research to standardise best practice
• Enable networking opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally
• Facilitate collaboration with other professional bodies
• Incorporate the voice of children and young people as fundamental in all aspects of practice

• Promote health and wellbeing of children and young people to achieve their full potential

Objectives

2009-2010

• Ratify strap line and purpose, website and flyer with members
• Circulate flyer
• Secure membership

2010- 2011

• Review education needs of endocrine nurses
• Two projects to specifically look at standards of care – growth hormone deficiency, precocious puberty
• Discussion board to become active – first topic "cortisol management"
