The Early Support information resources have been up-dated and adapted for use with older children. The materials help when families or young people are looking for accurate information about specific conditions or elements of additional support, and can help Nurses and others answer some of the questions they may be asked around the time of diagnosis or later on. They are available as downloads on the National Children’s Bureau website.
Superfood for Babies: How overcoming barriers to breastfeeding will save children’s lives

Save the Children UK published a new report on breastfeeding and a public campaign targeting Nestlé and Danone. Entitled “Superfood for Babies: How overcoming barriers to breastfeeding will save children’s lives”, the report examines the difference in child mortality breastfeeding would make in poor countries – stating that if all babies were breastfed in the first hour of life then 830,000 lives could be saved.
