Continence Care Forum community

Welcome to the RCN Continence Care Forum community.

The RCN Continence forum has played a pivotal role in lobbying for evidence based continence services, contributing to guidelines, NSFs, DOH policy and raising awareness of the inequality and disparity of service across the UK.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men will experience a continence problem at some point during their life, prevalence rising with age.

RCN Forums now have online communities, this is a great step forward for continence as it provides an opportunity to work with other specialist communities whose patients may also suffer with bladder and or bowel problems

Working and lobbying together will ensure that the patient's voice is heard whether the forum is predominantly neurological, learning or physical disability, urological, gynaecological.

This community can be used as a support tool for your everyday practice  and for your career development.

Each time you visit this network you will have access to:

  • all the latest news
  • events
  • key protocols
  • government documents
  • learning materials
  • examples of good practice
  • news of the standard training for urodynamics
  • continence conference news

If you're not yet a member of the Continence Care Forum, what are you waiting for? RCN members can join forums free of charge, and benefits include regular e-newsletters from the forum keeping you up to date on topics such as good practice and forthcoming events.
