PMRAFNS Travelling Scholarships

The PMRAFNS Trust annually awards:

• a Travelling Scholarship of up to £3,000 to study developments in professional/clinical practice
• a Travelling Scholarship Minor Award of £1500 to study developments in professional/clinical practice.

The Travelling Scholarships are open to any serving member of the PMRAFNS.  Applications are to be submitted to DNS (RAF) in the format shown in the application form (word 17.4KB)

Applications will be requested by calling note from DNS (RAF)’s office in January of each year, to be received no later than 28 February, in order that a decision can be made at the Spring meeting of the trustees. Successful applicant will then be notified and must have completed the scholarship activity by December of that year.

All applicants must secure the approval of their commanding officer to have time away from the unit to undertake the period of study before submitting their application.

Personnel who are successful in being awarded either the full Travelling Scholarship or the Minor Award are expected to share the results of their studies with their professional colleagues and submit a written report to DNS (RAF).
