NICE has just published new quality standards in March 2011 with the intention to support the National Service Framework for Diabetes and locally agreed pathways of care for diabetes. Click here to see the 13 quality statements.

Keith Booles, forum member and Senior Nurse Lecturer at Staffordshire University, has won, along with his colleague Specialist Diabetes Nurse Patricia Clawson, the Clinical Category award at this year’s Abracadabra Diabetes Conference for a project working on diabetes care in the prison environment.
