High praise indeed!

Keith Booles, forum member and Senior Nurse Lecturer at Staffordshire University, has won, along with his colleague Specialist Diabetes Nurse Patricia Clawson, the Clinical Category award at this year’s Abracadabra Diabetes Conference for a project working on diabetes care in the prison environment.

The prize was awarded in recognition of Keith and Patricia’s work in the field of diabetes nursing, as it demonstrates awareness of diabetes care across every sector. The project itself, undertaken as part of Keith’s role as a forum member, involved an audit of current care and practice for persons with diabetes within the prison environment and arose as a result of clinical concerns identified within this area of clinical practice within the UK.
Keith has said that he feels greatly honoured with the award and, more importantly, that the work has had a positive impact on clinical care of this client group.
Congratulations to you, Keith!
