Letter from the Editor (November 2009)

I am writing for the last time as editor for DiaBites, as I will be standing down from the committee at the end of the year, having served my time as a co-opted member. I remember getting the request four years ago from the then Chair asking if I knew of a diabetes nurse consultant working in primary care in the Midlands to join the committee. As I was the only diabetes nurse consultant working in the Midlands in primary care, I felt obliged to join up! However, it has been a real pleasure editing DiaBites and I hope you have enjoyed the copies that I have produced.
Carry on sending in your news and what you've been up to, as that's what makes the newsletter interesting. For those of you who worry about writing something, think Woman's Own rather than the Lancet - chatty pieces are acceptable! Send them to community.editor@rcn.org.uk
