Who are we?
We are a body of nurse educators appointed to support you and represent your collective views on educational issues of concern to you at a national level.
What do we actually do?
We plan national and international conferences, thus encouraging the dissemination of innovative practice in nurse education.
We work with the RCN offering specialist advice to policy makers. Recent examples include :
- responding to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Consultation on the new code of conduct
- working with the European Federation of Nurses relating to Bologna and the Tuning Process
- advising on educational research
- contributing to the consultations on Modernising Nursing Careers
We offer support for specialist reviews related to the development of nurse education.
We work closely with the RCN advisers across the regions and four UK countries to develop local network groups.
We endeavour to ensure that education is represented on regional boards.
Can you help us?
We produce an e-newsletter called Edlines to keep members updated. Content from the newsletter can be accessed on this site. We are always looking for new stories. Do you have an innovative or dynamic education initiative you would like to share? If so we would love to hear about it.
