My current working life has three strands; I own www.iaiconsult.co.uk, I am co-owner of www.ceftor.com and I do expert witness work for the courts.

I am a staunch advocate of the Independent sector and remind nurses how much health and social care is provided outside the NHS. I am also a staunch advocate of nurse friendly systems that help manage or reduce the workload.

My career to date has included being a Director of Nursing within an NHS acute Trust as well as being the senior Nurse for a major corporate provider. I have experience in hospitals, care homes and domiciliary care

I have been an RCN member for longer than I care to remember in in that time have served on RCN Council, several national committees as well as always being active within my local branch.

Lastly I tend to be a geek – and am of proud of it, but don’t for a minute think you need to be a geek to embrace eHealth – you don’t. eHealth is about using information and getting technology to work for you.
