Marina Lupari

As an Assistant Director for Nursing with a specific remit for Research & Development within a Northern Ireland health & social care trust I work with nursing teams to try to enhance their understanding of IT systems and their role in  enhancing patient care.

In previous roles I have:

• Facilitated and implemented a telehealth project, monitoring patients at home with Long Term Conditions. I present this work across European audiences.
• I have worked as part of the European Innovation Partnership to develop a vision for achieving enhanced healthy life years for older people across Europe.
• As a Service Improvement Manager for community nursing I have worked with staff to enhance care and the resultant work has led to the development of a caseload management tool.

I have some RCN experience, having been an active member of the RCN and in particular the Research forum.
I strive to improve the use of ICT in nursing and the use of information to drive forward service changes. I have ambitious ideas to develop new clinical and/or supporting services to coordinate health & social care activities. This work will involve planning and developing new services and seeking out new opportunities for the use of telemedicine/care.
