What has the forum been up to?

Richard Brownhill provides a brief update.

We are currently working on a number of projects. These include developing a skill mix tool for urgent and emergency care settings.

This continues to be a really important area of work but we need some of your views, ideas and engagement to really help to direct this.

We would really value your comments and this can be through developing the themes and information on a Google site wiki. Please contact Sam Manners on sam.manners@rcn.org.uk to gain acess and receive an invite.

The ‘silver book’

We have also been involved in the forthcoming work around the ‘silver book’. This is a piece of work which is focussed on the older person and highlights some prolific standards and essentials for their care. Within the guide, soon to be launched by a wide reference group, there are issues addressed including safeguarding, dignity issues etc. This is close to launch and further details will follow at our conference in November.
