Evaluation of relaxation therapy for patients at the department of maxillofacial surgery

Abstract

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) is a collective term for several temporomandibular joint and masticatory muscle disorders. These disorders present with similar symptoms and signs, namely pain, joint sounds and restricted jaw movement. Relaxation Therapy educates patients in the management of their symptoms and is safe, non-invasive, painless and cost effective.
