Dave King is a Mental Health Nurse, and has worked in Medium Security for twenty years, as a Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist. He is currently the Lead for Security at the Humber Centre for Forensic Psychiatry, near Hull. Dave is a frustrated lecturer and author, inasmuch as he hasn’t done either, but would one day quite like to get round to it. His current focus is around integrating effective security into clinical practice, promoting warmth, empathy & curiosity, and the on-going debate about the need for regulation / accreditation in physical interventions.
