Chris Cox, assistant director of legal affairs at the RCN, has written two useful briefing papers for nurses, one on capacity and consent, the other on accountability

Both papers offer detailed explanations of the law as it relates to nursing. They hold important information and key messages for mental health nurses and both use case examples to illustrate particular points.
