Group overview/aims and geographical details
The London group was reformed in 2004. Membership is open to anyone working or living within the M25 area, though this is flexible and we have members as far away as Southend when a local group doesn't exist in the area.
Professional seminars, meetings and study days held
2008-09 has been a quiet year for the LONG group and no study days or evenings have been held.

Our Chair, Brian Lucas, is a member of the SOTN national committee and editorial board of the Journal of Orthopaedic Nursing
International links
LONG is twinned with the Edmonton chapter of the Canadian Orthopaedic Nurses Association.
Plans for the coming year
To increase our membership and provide opportunity for orthopaedic and trauma nurses in the London area to share their experiences and good practice.
Further study evenings and days are being planned for 2009-10, with the first being a spinal injuries study day at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore - details to follow.
