1st International ICON Conference

The International Collaboration of Orthopaedic Nursing (ICON) 2010, "Fording the streams of international orthopaedic and trauma care", will be held 16–17 September 2010 at the Crowne Plaza, Northwood Park, in the beautiful city of Dublin.

The conference aims to bring together orthopaedic and trauma nurses as well as other professionals and practitioners linked to musculoskeletal health, from across the globe. Delegates will learn, share knowledge and ideas, network and take steps towards achieving the vision and mission of the organisation.

Call for papers

The international scientific committee invites abstracts from all professionals involved in the care of the orthopaedic patient, who wish to share their skills and knowledge with an international audience. We welcome and encourage both experienced and first-time presenters and offer support and advice in the preparation of abstracts and presentations/posters.

Abstracts are invited that:

• provide insight into orthopaedic and trauma patient needs and experiences
• explore the role of orthopaedic and trauma nurses in new and established services worldwide
• address issues affecting orthopaedic and trauma nursing in the past, present and future
• celebrate innovative individuals, ideas or roles in musculoskeletal care and practice.
