New palliative care e-learning programme launched
Published: 15 January 2010
e-ELCA (End of Life Care for All) is a programme of around 50 highly-interactive learning sessions available for care staff, nurses and doctors on palliative care. Each session lasts around 20 minutes and includes features such as self-assessment tools, audio/video clips and case studies. All are written by experts in their field and peer reviewed.
The project was commissioned by the Department of Health to support the implementation of the Department of Health’s national End of Life Care Strategy (July 2008).
e-ELCA will be available free of charge from early 2010 to all health and social care workers on the e-Learning for Healthcare website.
