Letter from Debra Holloway, Women's Health Forum Chair

Our forum has been busy working to develop some new RCN publications.  We have recently published Genital Examination in Women (PDF 381 KB) which was a collaboration between the RCN, the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, and the British Association for Sexual Health. In January this year we also published Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Cervical Cancer - the Facts (PDF 120.4 KB).

Thank you to everyone who responded to our survey on your preferences for conferences. Respondents told us that the most popular month to hold a conference is May. As we were unable to find a venue for this year we are therefore looking at a conference in May 2014.  More details to follow.

We attended RCN Congress both to vote and to facilitate an important event on the menopause which included a question and answer session. Read more elsewhere in the newsletter.

We hope that you like our new feature looking at different roles within women’s health nursing, starting with urogynaecology. We would welcome any submissions from you telling us about your role. As always, your comments, suggestions and thoughts are always welcome.
