International cardiac networks
Almost all countries have a national cardiac or cardiovascular society, and increasingly nurses are forming national groups, often affiliated to these.
Examples are given below.

- American Heart Association - Council on Cardiovascular nursing
- Cardiac Nurses Network of Australia and New Zealand
- European Atherosclerosis Society
- European Society of Cardiology Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions
- Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association
- Spanish Association of Nurses in Cardiology
It is hoped that the RCN cardiovascular nurses’ network will in time develop close working relationships with these networks and related organisations in other countries.
The RCN cardiovascular nurses’ network will also be working closely with the British Association for Nursing in Cardiac Care to extend friendship and collaboration to cardiovascular nurses worldwide.
