The Monica Baly Bursary Award is an annual award that gives financial assistance to  undertake activities related to nursing history. These include undertaking courses, projects, research, and attending either a nursing history conference or study day to present a paper. 

The RCN Foundation is responsible for the award. The RCN History of Nursing Society provides an advisory panel to review bursary applications and to make a recommendation to the foundation for each years’ winner. The award is presented at RCN Congress.

The Monica Baly Bursary Award is open to RCN members.  The closing date for applications is usually in August each year; check the website for full details of this year’s award.
