Celebrating 50 years of nursing research: looking back, moving forward

A Witness Panel on 27 March near the conclusion of the 2009 RCN International Nursing Research Conference brought together many of the pioneering nurses involved in the earliest days of nursing research. The distinguished panel featured Jack Hayward, Sylvia LeLean, Felicity Stockwell, Evelyn Anderson and Jenny Hunt - nurses who produced some of the seminal works in the nursing canon and are still as widely read today as when they were published.

Unfortunately this once-in-a-lifetime event was being staged just as we were going to press, but we will carry a full report in the next issue of History Info.
