2013 Humanitarian Fund now open for applications from NHS staff undertaking humanitarian work

The BMA has launched its Humanitarian Fund for 2013. The fund supports NHS health professionals to participate in humanitarian projects in the developing world by funding costs such as travel and accommodation. Projects must be sustainable and offer clear health benefits to the local population. Any current NHS employee planning to run or participate in such a project between May 2013 and May 2014 can apply for a grant of up to £3,000. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 22 March 2013 and the application pack is available on the BMA website.
